MISSION STATEMENT

 

The mission of the Jordan Falls Baptist Church is to bring glory to God by leading others to Jesus Christ by love, prayer and example, in the power of the Holy Spirit.

VISION STATEMENT

 

Through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, our unifying purpose is to glorify our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, by supporting the implementation of the Great Commission (Matt 28: 19-20). Particularly, we take up the call to do the following:

a. promote the preaching of the Gospel,

b. train the fellowship for service,

c. evangelize our community,

d. support mission efforts worldwide.

 

We seek to fulfill the vision statement in five key areas:

 

1. WORSHIP

Our vision is for people to come together to praise God in love and adoration and to provide worship that will embrace all generations, using the gifts of disciples in stirring God's people to rejoice in His Son, the Lord Jesus.

 

2. FELLOWSHIP

Our vision is to share the joy of God's family as His disciples meet together in unity. A growing appreciation of fellowship deepens our attachment to one another and to God.

 

3. KNOWLEDGE

Our vision is to be church leaders gaining the knowledge for effective ministry. We look to find ways to be relevant to our society and to explore new ways of presenting the timeless Gospel of the Church with effective Christ-centred ministries.

 

4. SERVICE

Our vision is for our church to aid in the ministry of the Gospel by individuals, groups within the church body and through a network of mutual support between the Autonomous churches of our Association, Convention and other ministries that promote the Gospel.

 

5. LEADERSHIP

Our vision is to provide relevant guidance to one another in order to aid in our advancement of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ and our growth in the LORD. (1 Corinthians 12, Ephesians 4:15-16)
